My friend was celebrating his 59th birthday two days after his actual birthday (Saturday). The host have asked guests to bring a gag gift to the party. This was my gag gift and everyone had a laugh when I brought this cake to the party.
Thanks Su Y. for the idea.
I made one additional cake for 10 guest. Due to time constraint this turned out to be a simple job.

Chocolate Mini Cake. The Office.
Chocolate Mini Cake. Red blossom.
First birthday cake
Not made from a box!
Last Thursday I decided to bake a birthday cake for a good friend of mine who celebrated his 59th birthday. This was my first time baking and decorating a birthday cake made from scratch.
My chocolate cake recipe is from a famous name brand food product, fondant, food coloring, tools, and my imagination. Next time I knew it I decorated my first birthday cake.

Fresh Rice Noodles With Beef
Cooking try-out is from a book called “ The Complete Stir-Fry Cook Book.”
I began by flipping pages after pages of delicious Chinese food recipes that include photos of the actual food. My eyes enjoyed looking at photos, and reading recipes to determines if I can cook it.
Fresh Rice Noodles With Beef caught my eyes since I have tasted this before in our local Chinese restaurant and it's simple enough for my lack of cooking experience.
Fresh Rice Noodles With Beef
Ingredients: garlic, fresh ginger, oyster sauce, soy sauce, beef, oil, fresh rice noodles and sugar.
Cut thin slice of rice noodles, marinate beef together with ingredients to soak flavor and refridgerate. Stir fry.
According to instructions preparation time is 10 minutes plus 30 minutes of cooking time.
My experience: Buying these ingredients was not a problem because our local Asian store do have all I the ingredients I need for cooking. Prep-time was actually longer than expected; about an hour total prep and cooking time. Stir frying fresh rice noodles really stuck to my wok during cooking process. Also, when I self tasted the flavor, it needed a little bit more flavor so I added extra oyster sauce to add an extra zing taste to it.
Helpful hints: Cook on high heat. Add extra oil while stir frying the noodles to keep it from sticking to wok or microwave noodles cover with water soak paper towels.
Overall my husband liked the flavor, my daughter really like the taste of stir fry beef and since I recently became a vegetarian I only ate the delicious rice noodles.
bon appetit!
